This Privacy Policy explains how Bezzy ("Bezzy", "we", "us", or "our"), a service of Miramore Consulting Limited, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Bezzy mobile application and website (the "Service"). Bezzy provides ride-hailing and package dispatch services across Nigeria.

By using Bezzy, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, phone number, email address, and password.

Location data. We collect your device's precise GPS location while you use the app, to show nearby drivers, calculate routes and fares, and share live trip location between passengers and drivers during an active trip. Drivers' location is shared with matched passengers while a trip is active.

Driver verification information. If you register as a driver, we collect your Bank Verification Number (BVN) or National Identification Number (NIN), driver's license, a selfie photograph, vehicle details, and bank account information, in order to verify your identity and enable payouts. This information is used solely for verification and fraud prevention and is handled with additional security safeguards.

Payment information. Payments made in-app are processed by Paystack, a licensed third-party payment processor. Bezzy does not store your full card details — Paystack handles and secures this information directly under its own security standards.

Trip and communication data. We collect pickup and drop-off addresses, trip history, fare amounts, and messages exchanged between passengers and drivers through the in-app chat, in order to operate the Service, resolve disputes, and improve safety.

Device information. We collect device type, operating system, and push-notification tokens, so we can send you trip updates and alerts.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To match passengers with nearby available drivers
• To calculate routes, estimated arrival times, and fares
• To process payments and driver payouts
• To verify driver identity and maintain platform safety
• To send trip updates, receipts, and service notifications
• To provide customer support and investigate complaints or safety incidents
• To improve and maintain the Service
• To comply with legal obligations under Nigerian law

3. How We Share Your Information

We share information with:

• Drivers and passengers matched on a trip — limited to name, phone number, live location during the trip, and trip details necessary to complete the trip
• Paystack, to process payments
• Google Maps Platform, to provide address search, mapping, and route calculation
• Supabase, our database and backend infrastructure provider, which stores account, trip, and driver-verification data on our behalf
• Law enforcement or regulators, where required by Nigerian law or in response to a valid legal request

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and trip data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain safety records. Driver verification documents (BVN/NIN, license, selfie) are retained for the duration of the driver's active status on the platform plus any period required by applicable law.

5. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements
• Withdraw consent for location tracking at any time (note: this will limit or disable core features of the Service)

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted data transmission and access controls, to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Bezzy is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
